Do guests need to download an app to bid?
No. Bidding happens in the phone’s web browser after scanning a QR code or opening a link. There is nothing to install.
Can the silent auction run before the event?
Yes. Set each lot’s closing time days ahead so remote supporters can bid, then let bidding continue in the room on the night.
How do you stop last-second sniping?
Turn on anti-sniping and a bid in the final moments extends that lot, giving the outbid guest a fair chance to respond. Outbid alerts tell them straight away.
Do bidders have to register?
You choose. Silent auctions require a quick registration by default so every bid is tied to a real, contactable guest, and you can switch that off for a lighter-touch event.
How do winners pay?
Winning bids go onto the guest’s event tab and are paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay straight into your own Stripe account. Unpaid wins get automatic reminders.
